Each brush is Handmade by an artisan family in Central Mexico from Agave plants known locally in Mexico as ‘maguey’. Agave is harvested and striped by hand. After this, it is washed in mild detergent with water to clean the material. The maguey is then dried in the sun, and later brushed straight over a giant biznaga cactus. The brushes are handmade with pine bases, that are cut and sanded in the family workshop. After this, the maguey is cut to form bristles, and they are placed into holes in the base of the brush.
- The brushes are only to be used dry – water will damage them - Brushes are soft enough for face, but should be used in light, circular motions - Dry brushing increases circulation, helps to firm and soften skin - Dry brush daily before bathing, preferably in warm water, then in cold to close the pores
